Thanks for using the Community Weed Bin!

Our Community Weed Bin trial is now finished and we are so pleased with how it has worked and how the community has used it, respected the bins purpose and followed the rules.

Out of 5 very full bin loads, there has been only a small amount of non-target vegetation, and we only had to remove one very small bag of rubbish (and a broken camp chair after the weekend rugby!). Everything else was the invasive weeds we are trying to target. Tino pai rawa atu!

We will look forward to doing it again, and because it worked so well it sounds like Whangarei District Council are keen to support this initiative in future! Awesome work as always by the growing number of weed warriors in this excellent community!
