🏆 It’s Moth Plant Competition Time!

🥳 Let’s get out there now while moth plant is flowering and STOP THE PODS!

Over the next couple of months, we want to see how you’re seeking out moth plant seedlings and vines, and you could be in the draw to win one of three $50 vouchers, generously provided by the Parua Bay Tavern – thanks so much team 🙏

How to enter:

📷 All entries require photographic proof and can be:

– emailed to info@weedaction.org.nz

– sent via Facebook Messenger

– or posted to the Mega Moth Plant Movement Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1566980417516589

You could send us a pic of:

💪 your zaniest pose with some moth plant you’ve just pulled out or cut and treated (please don’t pose with herbicide or moth plant sap close to you though!)

🍃 50 moth plant seedlings you have pulled out

📏 the biggest moth plant vine and root you have removed

➿ the curliest moth plant vine

🥴 a great before and after of wilting and dying moth plant

Competition is open until 31 January 2026 and winners will be announced shortly after. 📆

* From February to May 2026 we will continue to provide our annual pod amnesty bins – thanks to community funds from Whangarei District Council for supporting the Mega Moth Plant Movement and keeping this initiative going 👍
