An amazing piece of work is going on right behind us, on Maunga Manaia. Through DOC Community Threatened Species funding, Weed Action and Aki Tai Here have been surveying and monitoring, developing skills, and protecting taonga species on this highly significant pou for Te Tai Tokerau. Working in steep conditions, the team have located more sites of threatened species than previously known, and identified further species for study.
